I had you at fudge, didn’t I? I stumbled upon this recipe late one night when I was craving a heaping pan of fudge-y goodness but didn’t have the ingredients to make a “proper” fudge…or so I thought. This recipe is so unbelievably simple and pretty much foolproof (unlike other candy recipes – I swear it’s like the kitchen becomes a laboratory during Christmas candy season). Here’s to a delicious marble butter fudge in three easy steps!

Let me start by saying I know that fudge isn’t for everyone. Even so, it can be such a great addition to gifts, parties, and get togethers. This marble butter fudge will be a staple whenever I’m short on time and ingredients (which is basically everyday over here). You’ll probably find everything you need for this one right in your pantry!
Marble Butter Fudge: Step One
Grab those ingredients! You’ll need creamy peanut butter, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips. Nab a 9×9 pan, some tin foil, and a couple microwave safe bowls along with your favorite mixing spoon (everyone has a favorite mixing spoon, am I right?).
Marble Butter Fudge: Step Two
Melt it! Believe it or not, the recipe didn’t even have measurements so I just decided to wing it. Going with a “more is more” strategy, I decided to use two 12 oz. bags of white chocolate chips, one 12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a heap of peanut butter (probably a little over a cup or so). Pour the white chips and semi sweet chips in separate bowls and melt them in the microwave. I usually zap them for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Stir until the chips are completely melted.
Add the glop of peanut butter to the white chocolate chips and mix until fully combined and smooth.
At this point, line the pan with tin foil and get ready to pour in the peanut butter mix into the pan — smoothing it out until spread evenly across the pan. If you haven’t taken a taste test by now, WHO do you think you ARE?! …This is definitely a “lick the bowl” situation and I would be disappointed if you didn’t lick it clean!
Now comes the fun part. We’re going to swirl it and we’re going to swirl it real good, you know what I mean? Take the melted semi-sweet chips and pour in lines across the top of the peanut butter layer. You’ll notice my line blobs are HUGE because I overdid it (no one should be surprised by this) sorry-not-sorry.
….Yeaaahhhh my chocolate blobs ended up looking more like dog doo than anticipated. WHOOPS. Anyway, it didn’t make a difference because I whipped those doodies into shape! Take a spoon or butter knife and swirl the chocolate into and around the peanut butter layer until satisfied with the look.
Marble Butter Fudge: Step Three
Let is set! This fudge sets up well on the counter or in the fridge. I was desperate to dig right in so I let this pan set in the fridge for twenty minutes or so. After it sets up, I keep it out on the counter for a nice soft bite.
Despite the doggy doo situation – I think these turned out beautiful! Which says something because I have a hard time creating pretty when it comes to food. My attitude is that it doesn’t have to look good to taste perfect – but it’s a bonus if end ups being both! It took less than 10 minutes from start to finish and that’s a major win in my book.
