As I type this post, my fingernails hurt. This week finds me in the middle of a wicked fibro flare and I am over it. I promise, this post won’t evolve into a never ending whine fest of me dealing with chronic pain — but I find that sharing how I feel in real time helps a little bit and so does a good floor cushion. Floor cushions are cute and great for your bum (who wants to floor sit without a little extra fluff? No one, that’s who)! When I’m flaring and in curl-up-in-a-ball pain, you will often find me lying in a heap on a floor cushion, somewhere. I’ve rounded up a few great picks for you to browse – your bum will thank me, later (or not, because that would be weird….let’s not make it *that* weird).

Floor Cushion for My Tush-ion?
Floor cushions have evolved into a must-have for our family. Our living spaces are truly, roughly, messily lived in and we often spend time all together in one chaotic heap. Sure, the couch is a great place to hang – but we are floor people, you know what I mean? One of the first things I do when I feel comfortable in a home is park my rear right on the floor. For me, it’s all about comfortability, intimacy, and feeling grounded in a space, I think.
Our kids spend a lot of their time scuttling about on the floor, too. Puzzles and games wouldn’t be the same without our cushions – the kids automatically grab them whenever they begin a board game (minus the arguing and screaming about who’s not following the rules, it’s a great time!). Morning cartoon time always ends with me finding the kids snuggled under a pile of blankets atop a makeshift bed of floor cushions. Not to mention the incredible fort-building power of a handful of solid cushions. Yes, floor cushions have become less of a cute and great for your bum necessity and more of a necessary ingredient in fun, comfy living!
Floor Cushions: Single Seat
Single seat floor cushions are great to slide underneath a coffee table or cabinet for quick access. Our kids each have their own they’ve claimed. See below for several that caught my eye this week!

Double the size, double the comfy goodness! We have a long floor cushion that has become a family favorite (we all fight over it, I’ll be honest).
