Okay. I’m going to share a couple of my favorite couch cover sources. But first, a conversation that happens quite often:
“How do you do it?”
“…Do what?”
“White furniture. How can you have white furniture? You have five kids.”
“….I have five kids?!”
Don’t mind me, I’m just chuckling to myself over here. But, really. This is a question that I get a lot! I’ll share a picture of our home and right away, folks zero in on the couches. I get it. I really do! The couch is where the living happens in your home. I mean…this has to be why you would be hard pressed to find a couch-less living room, right?! A lot of living happens in our homes and the couch is at the heart of it all!
In our home, the couch is where games are played, snacks are eaten, cuddles happen, books are read, nerf wars are waged, and so on. So, I’m not surprised when folks are flabbergasted at how a family of seven humans, two dogs, a bunny, a lizard, and two bird eggs could possibly keep white furniture clean. Here’s the kicker — we don’t! We are a mess. Like, honestly. We are gross. Which is why I am a HUGE believer in the all powerful couch cover. Seriously — the first time I ever thought about covering our couch I wondered if it would really be worth it. Then, I slipped a cream colored cotton tuck cover over our brown couch and I was hooked. I’m going to share two of my favorite couch cover sources today!
Favorite Couch Cover Sources: Sure Fit Furniture Covers
The first cover I ever bought came from Surefit. Why? Because they are affordable, easy to find, and have a variety of options for chairs, sofas, and loveseats. You’ll find Sure Fit brand covers in most department stores (think Target) and online. This season, I upgraded one of our covers to this ruffled version and I love it! Find this Sure Fit Essential Twill Ruffled cover here!
Simply French Market on Etsy
I love supporting small business and fellow creators and Etsy is the best source for all things handmade! I came across Simply French Market by accident while browsing late one night. But I immediately loved what I saw! Her shop is filled to the brim with farmhouse, country, and french inspired linens — including this incredible one piece ruffled slipcover.
I was looking for a slipcover that would add texture and all the cozy vibes and this hit the nail right on the head! They come in natural or white. I chose natural because I feel like it adds just the right amount of warmth to our space that is already very, well, white. See this slipcover here!
That’s a wrap, folks (literally)! My top two reasons to choose a couch cover as a decorative option are that they can revive an old piece of furniture with little work and if you tend to lean on the messy side (like our crazy crew) and spill a bowl of popcorn and a cup of chocolate milk — no worries — just toss it in the wash!
